In Japanese culture, Hatsune originally refers to the first song” of the year sung by birds and insects—especially the nightingale’s call—an expression that beautifully conveys the refined grace embodied in this figure.

The distinctive kimono uses authentic fabric for the furisode sleeves, developed through repeated trial production to ensure that the intricate patterns align perfectly across the seams. Gold foil embossing adds a dazzling golden sheen, faithfully reproducing the charm of the original illustration. Her jewel-like eyes sparkle in the light, while her softly blushing cheeks and cherry blossom–tinted lips create a gentle, graceful impression.
